The so-called "story" so far:

Off-Ramp has been exploring strange new reaches of outer space with his car. Where's he headed? Monstergirl has been learning about her disturbing past. Junior has been learning what it means to be a hero, and then Monstergirl teaches him a whole new meaning for the word "teamwork." Meanwhile, Frostbite and Bonfire continue to explore strange new weather patterns on each other's bodies. Zip-Kid is learning the heard way that she should trust her guts and not her head. And Thunderhead has been playin' the blues. Oh, yhea. - YHIL Lettercolumn

Plot Summary:

Happy Birthday kids! That's one thing you don't want to hear this month, when the troubled young man calling himself "The Birthday Boy" comes to town! Junior fights alone in this nail-biting issue! Monstergirls parents have a few surprises for her, like telling her that she fell to earth in a space egg! Can Elena and Hector find the missing space egg? Will Junior win an award for best dramatic scene with a potato and a bottle of cooking oil? Can the Young Heroes give Junior some of the attention and credit that he earns? You bet they can!
